    While new media platforms have expanded opportunities for diverse journalists and story-tellers to create, curate and distribute news and entertainment content, additional support and proactive efforts are needed to help these diverse new entrants navigate the barriers to success and sustainability. This panel session is the next installment in our Media Diversity Solutions Discussion Series and is designed to showcase five dynamic new media platforms that are providing journalists, storytellers, curators and bloggers of color a path to being discovered by an audience and to profitability. Our blue-ribbon panel will provide their insights and discuss their innovative efforts to enable multicultural voices to tell their stories. In this live taping of the Museum's AirSpace podcast, we’ll explore how failure is often as meaningful to the journey as the achievement itself by examining the good, bad, and ugly of how scientists and engineers have overcome losing spacecraft and how a culture that embraces the possibility of failure can ultimately be more successful.     Funk Parade celebrates DC's vibrant music and arts, the history of Black Broadway, and the Spirit of Funk that brings us all together.
